Anthony Joel "Andy" Cash, Jr. was born on January 10, 1966, and peacefully transitioned from this life on June 1, 2026.   Anthony Joel Cash Jr., affectionately known as "Cash" or "83," was born to Florence Edna-Mae Cash and Anthony Joel Cash Sr. As the second child in a loving family, Andy brought energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to everyone who knew him.  Andy's life was a testament to perseverance, faith, love, and the importance of family and friendship.

Andy was educated in the Prince George's County Public School System.  Graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Greenbelt, MD and spent many years working as a tow truck driver. Full of life and known for his vibrant personality, he was given the nickname "83" by his brother, Antoine, because Cash was always reminiscing about the good old days and proudly carried the spirit of that era wherever he went.

In his final season of life, Andy resided with his devoted sister, Carla, and her family following his release from the hospital.  Surrounded by love, care, and unwavering support, he was able to spend precious time with those who meant the most to him. Their home became a place of comfort, laughter, reflection, and cherished memories during his journey.

A proud native of Glenarden, Maryland, Cash was widely known and respected as one of Glenarden's "Top Soldiers." He had a deep love for roller skating, listening to old-school Go-Go music, and spending quality time with family and friends. Andy especially enjoyed sharing meals and often spoke proudly of the cooking of his beloved sister, Christy, and his daughter, Antanae'.  He also found great joy in taking the children to the pool every day during the summer and teaching his grandson, Zimir', how to swim.

One of Andy's most treasured moments was celebrating his surprise 60th birthday with family and friends.  The occasion filled his heart with joy and reminded him of the many lives he had touched throughout the years. The outpouring of love and fellowship created memories that he carried with him and that his loved ones will forever hold dear.

Despite the challenges of his illness, Andy was blessed to experience special moments with family and friends from near and far. Through the many prayers, visits, phone calls, and acts of kindness from his family, his Glenarden, Whitfield Chapel, Ardmore, Springdale, Palmer Park, Central Gardens, and Washington Heights family, he remained encouraged and uplifted.  The love and support he received brought him comfort, strength, and countless reasons to smile.

Andy's presence, humor, loyalty, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Daughter:  Antanae' Cash;  Grandson:  Zimir' Cash; Sisters: Carla Cash (Michael); Christy Cash-Littleford (Anthony); Brothers:  Antoine Cash (Nikki) and Da'mon Ewuell; Aunts:  Barbara Holland, Mary Covington (Laymond) & Desrae Boone (Morrell); Uncle: Melvin Ford (Angela); Stepmother:  Cynthia Cash and a Host of Nephews & Nieces, Cousins and Extended Family Members, and Both Son & Daughter had Siblings, that Andy played a huge role in their lives and looked at them as if they were his own; and all of his Dear Glenarden, Whitfield Chapel, Ardmore, Springdale, Palmer Park, Central Gardens and Washington Heights Friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father: Anthony Joel Cash Sr.; his mother, Florence Edna-Mae Cash; Grandparents:  Joseph & Edna Ford and Seton & Mary Cash; his son, Anthony Joel Cash III; and his brother, Randy Brooking, his aunts: Marilyn Jones & Cecila Cash & Uncle: Thomas (Big Brother) Holland.

Though he is no longer with us in body, the memories, laughter, and love Andy shared will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Andy leaves behind a legacy of resilience, faith, and love. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his appreciation for family gatherings, and the gratitude he expressed for those who stood beside him during life's most difficult moments.

Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended and that he now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord. His memory will continue to live on through the many family members, friends, neighbors, and church family who were blessed to know and love him.
