Frances Gardener, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 87, in Hyattsville, Maryland. She was born on September 15, 1937, to the late Alberta Fletcher and Harry Taylor.

A devoted homemaker, Frances dedicated her life to caring for her family. She lovingly raised her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs above her own. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and delicious meals — with fried fish being a family favorite. Frances had a passion for cooking and thrifting, often finding hidden treasures and bargains that brought her joy and pride.

Her vibrant personality lit up every room she entered. Her laughter loud, strong, and contagious was a true gift that lifted the spirits of those around her. Known for her favorite expressions, "Yes indeed!" and "Deed so," Frances had a way of making everyday moments feel special and memorable.

Frances enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, including Sanford and Son, All in the Family, and classic soap operas. Her favorite song, "Someday We'll Be Together" by The Supremes, perfectly reflected her loving nature and the deep connections she held with those she cared for.

She was the cherished wife of the late Oliver Gardener and a devoted mother to her children, Joanne Easton and Harold Easton. Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren: Sherron Holmes, Ronald Holmes Jr., Derrick Elam, and Kevin Elam.

Frances is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Marjorie Taylor, niece Brandy Taylor, and nephew Christopher Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Gardener; her parents, Alberta Fletcher and Harry Taylor; and her brothers, James Taylor, William Taylor, and Jerry Taylor.

Frances Gardener's life was one of quiet strength, selfless love, and enduring joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Though she has gone on to glory, as her favorite song reminds us Someday We'll Be Together by The Supremes.
