Jeanette Regina Gross, born October 7, 1940 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Jeanette lived a beautiful life filled with purpose, love, and unwavering generosity.  Born in Akins, South Carolina, she blossomed into a remarkable woman whose warmth touched everyone she encountered.

Her 20-year career at Sears and Roebuck showcased her versatility and dedication, but it was her transition to healthcare that truly revealed her calling.  As a nursing assistant and team leader at ManorCare Health Services, Jeanette earned numerous Awards of Excellence from 1995-2003, caring for geriatric patients with the same tender love she showed her own family.

Jeanette's home was a sanctuary of hospitality. Her legendary cookouts required guests to bring only themselves—she provided everything else with joy. Her famous Punchbowl cake became the centerpiece of countless celebrations, while her vibrant gardens reflected her nurturing spirit.

A devoted sports enthusiast, she cheered passionately for tennis legends Arthur Ashe, Venus and Serena Williams.  Whether playing Bid Whist with friends or dressing up for Atlantic City adventures, Jeanette embraced life with infectious enthusiasm. Her 67-year marriage to Kenneth and devotion to daughter Janice exemplified her capacity for enduring love. Through unwavering faith and Charles Stanley's Sunday teachings, Jeanette touched lives with grace, always ready to help others, sometimes giving her last dollar.
